London, fast paced enormous city full of uniquely charming neighborhoods.
Take the Underground and the city's double decker red bus (public transportation is faster and cheaper and well marked).
Check for Royal family appearances for the days you will be in the city.
Day 0
Arrive at Heathrow, the airport is one hour away from the city, it is possible to take an Uber or by metro depending on the time and location of your stay. Look for airport signs on Terminal 5 parking lot for Uber pickup location.
Day 1
Breakfast at Gail's
Take the underground towards Westminster
Visit the Parliament (take the audio tour)
See the Big Ben and Parliament from the bridge crossing the Thames River
Watch out for the historic red telephone booths
Look for the Churchill statue at the New Palace Yard
Walk by Westminster Abbey
Walk St James' Park towards Buckingham Palace
Take a cab (fits 6 people) to Mayfair court for lunch
Go to a pub for a pint (half for me)
Take the underground towards Charing Cross
Visit the National Portrait Museum and The National Gallery
Visit Saint Martin in the Fields (we had the luck to go to a candlelight Opera)
Have dinner at Bardos $$
Day 2
Breakfast at Gail's (yes again, I loved it)
Visit the Tower of London and make sure to see the Crown Jewels
Walk by the Thames river to have lunch at Emily's (order the bolognese)
Take the underground towards Picadilly
Walk by Picadilly
Walk by Soho, look for Opera House
Walk by Chinatown and eat dumplings
Day 3
Breakfast at Gail's (yes a third time, I loved it)
Visit the British Museum (timed entry free tickets online) - there is always a line to enter, start on the Egyptian area
Take the underground to Paddington Station and look for the small bear statue from the Paddington children's book
Walk through Kensington Gardens towards Kensington Palace (where Princess Diana lived)
Have dinner at Duck and Waffle (wonderful city views at night, order the duck and waffle. duck tacos and the fois gras brulee)
Day 4
